Position Responsibilities
Position Summary (Briefly summarize the purpose of the position. How is success described for this

1. The prime responsibility of a Sales Officer is to generate profitable sales growth, commensurate with the
potential of the market. Accomplish this through proper planning and execution to ensure the agreed
targets/plans are achieved
2. Success will be characterized by the successful achievement of monthly/Quarterly/Yearly targets of the
allocated area
3. To pilot new initiatives and act as change agents for the Division
Sr.No. Key Tasks & Responsibilities
1 Ensure the achievement of annual operating plan in terms of primary, secondary sales and collection in
assigned area
2 Strong and excellent relationships with key trade and distributor partners
3 Availability & Visibility across all the stores in assigned territory
4 Improves display of the organizations products at the customer points as per the planograms defined
to increase visibility of the profitable products.
5 Monitor and implementation of distribution plan across area, field activities performance and
accomplishment of sales conditions, agreements and relevant KPIs
6 Ensures implementation of robust plan to roll out GTM (go to market) strategy, superlative execution in
terms of distribution and basic field efficiencies
7 Understands Modern Trade channel sales strategy, prepares sales plans and activation calendars to
drive volume, value, market share and activations in the assigned territory/area
8 New Product Introductions & Brand Activations to be aligned with team
9 Supports execution of merchandising KPIs e.g. attendance, beat adherence, share of shelf (SOS),
availability, promo execution, asset execution & management w.r.t to modern trade
10 Drives growths & TLSD (Total lines sold per day), focuses on brands availability and in-store execution
(promo, visibility elements, activation KPIs) and maintains secondary fill rate
Job Specifications
Education Background - Any graduate or post graduate, preferably MBA
Experience Needed (Professional) - 2- 5 years hardcore FMCG and/or OTC sales experience from reputed companies only (eg: - Britannia, ITC, Marico, Perfetti, HUL, Nestle, Mondelez, Abbott, Cipla, Sun pharma, Dr. Reddys Lab, Glenmark, Danone, etc)
Desired Candidate Profile
Strong background in General Trade
Drive distribution build new distributors. Superstockist, etc.
Bring in more business by expand into Pharmaceutical stores
Energetic; Good communication; good knowledge of the territory assigned
