Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, creative, individual who is highly technical and can work in a fast paced and often chaotic environment. QA Engineer plays a key role in a fast-paced environment to facilitate quality and efficient product development via test automation.
Knowledge and Skills
- A minimum of 4 years experience in enterprise and large-scale internet-facing software quality, including 4 years as a technical leader
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in testing Web Services
- A minimum of 2 years experience with the following:
- Open source and with the open source community
- Agile development methodologies and SDLC processes
- QA fundamentals (both white- and black-box testing, agile process)
- Using Databases, Rest API's, Client libraries using different platform (PHP, JAVA, etc.)
- Coding for automation, without reliance on record and playback scripting Deep working knowledge of automated code coverage and static analysis software
- High-volume, highly scalable applications.
- A minimum of 2 years experience working with Selenium/Cucumber based automation frameworks.
- Web Services and Web Services API Skills
- Solid Web Services Functional Knowledge
- Web Service API Testing
- Manually testing SOAP APIs
- Manual Testing of RESTful APIs
- Automation of Web Service APIs (RESTful or SOAP or both) using Ready API Framework or similar framework.
- UI Application Automation Skills
- Solid Web Application knowledge
- UI Automation FW creation/design using Selenium FW, java and Test NG
- UI Automation FW creation/design using Cucumber FW (At least 6 12 months of experience of development experience) using Java
- UI Automation test case development using standard software design principles (Best practices of automation code development like modular design, proper test data layers etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with scripting languages, such as JavaScript, Windows and Unix shell scripting
- Strong desire to build, sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proven results-oriented person with a delivery focus and demonstrated ability to achieve in a highly innovative and fast paced environment.
- Good communication skills required.
