Please see the following position summary:
- Managing Packaging Development Operations for different types of Semi-Solid Oral (Topical / Derma Products) formulations like Ointments, Gels, Creams, Solutions, Lotions, Oils etc. according to different regulated guidelines like: USFDA, EU-GMP, TGA-Australia, ANVISA etc.
- Handling & Supervision of Packaging Development activities for products manufacturing for various prominent Local and International customers.
- Responsible for the development of primary & secondary packaging material for Topical products of USA, EU, Australia, Brazil etc.
- Conceptualizing the ideas and identifying the innovative packaging materials
- Leading Packaging Development process for New Products (NPI); from Primary Screening, Developmental Studies, Artwork Development and Machine / Change parts Development to Technology Transfer for commercial production.
- Responsible for packaging of New Products, Innovation, Cost Reduction and Value addition projects.
- Leading Packaging Innovation program right from Conception, through Development to Innovation in an optimized budget with compliance to global standard.
- Literature search and inter departmental presentations on new trends of packaging materials.
- Leading Packaging Cost Saving Initiative & driving Ideas under Implementation and creating Idea pool with innovative/alternate packaging options.
- Evaluating alternative vendors for packaging material.
- Active participation in New / Alternate vendor development / audits.
- Coordination with cross functional teams for development (Primary & Secondary materials).
- Assisting regulatory department to answer the packaging material related deficiencies with help of suppliers.
Ensured all the documents are complete and filed appropriately to enable retrievability.
Required Candidate profile
- B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Pharm / M.Pharm + Diploma in Packaging Development with 15+ yrs experience preferably in Pharma Formulation.
- Exposure in Semi Solid Oral (Topical) for regulated markets (USA) would be preferred.
- Should have expertise in Packaging Artwork, Market Research, Regulatory requirement, Vendor audit, Negotiation
- Exposure to working in US Markets is Mandatory.
- Knowledge of Serialization for US and EU Market.
- Should have ability to lead 5 Team Members.
- Effective communicator with excellent relationship building & interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving & organizational abilities.
