Job Description
Responsible for Product Quality and Process Quality throughout the life cycle of all the Product of the assigned Business / Category.
1. Overall responsibility for Product Quality and management of Customer Complaints.
2. Evaluate and characterize products in terms of relevant deliveries including components like flavor and impact.
3. To manage the practices, activities and resources needed to meet quality goals and objectives.
4. Suggest process modifications to improve quality by evaluating benefits quantitatively and qualitatively only after Consultation and approval of NPD.
5. To ensure all the products conform to the laid down specifications through all stages from vendor to consumer. ( To coordinate with R&D for specification documents).
6. Obtain testing reports from public health / FSSAI / other credible laboratories to characterize products in terms of physical ingredients and maintain current test reports.
7. Analyze panel and consumer studies to generate feedback for modification to existing product or development of new products.
8. To identify and prepare Test plans and methodologies for Product testing's as well as Process documentation.
9. Ensure Testing's and give approval of all incoming Raw material & Packaging material in accordance to the laid down specifications.
10. To ensure approval Under Deviation on consideration of possible impacts on the business & analyzing the total situation on briefing & further discussion with R&D.
11. Ensure traceability of finished products to the vendor lots.
12. Responsibility for review and analysis of Customer Complaints and to carry out root cause analysis for failures and corrective action plan.
13. Assure the calibration and maintaining the testing equipment, solutions and materials for tests, per the Quality Manual Procedures and Frequency.
14. Responsibility to develop and implement a Corrective Action Program, in response to Quality Audits by R&D / Internal Quality Audit reports / IMS audits.
15. To ensure and comply with all the relevant statutory requirements/ compliances.

1. Product Quality- Quality conformance of all incoming materials and Finished Product
2. Conformance to process parameters laid down by R&D.
3. Effective vendor development- Program development & management.
4. Customer complaint - effective management & resolutions.
5. Effective CAPA throughout the Process and Product management.
6. Setting quality standards, maintaining and improving them.
7. Preparation and maintenance of Quality manual and procedures.
8. Calibration of all the Process and Testing Equipment.
