Desired Candidate Profile
Action for Social Advancement (ASA) is an NGO head quartered at Bhopal and working for the livelihoods improvement of rural poor in over 1700 villages in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Jharkhand since 1996. It works in the field of Land and Water Resources Development, Agriculture Development, Agribusiness Promotion for small farmers. To know more about ASA visit www.asaindia.org
ASA has been supporting poor smallholders to organize themselves in to Farmer Producers Organization (FPOs) for forward and backward linkage with the agriculture market and services such as credit, insurance, etc. A multi-disciplinary team from ASA provides technical support to the FPOs in their endeavor in engaging with the market. The support includes crop production technology, quality control, marketing, linkage with credit agencies, crop insurance, development of MIS, agriculture inputs sourcing & marketing, fulfilling legal compliances, etc. Considering that smallholders organization requires a support eco-system to grow and sustain ASA endeavours to create this umbrella support systems. The support provided is in the nature of facilitation and free of charge. There is no commercial transaction between ASA and the FPOs in whatsoever manner for this support and otherwise also.
We require FPO Business Facilitator
Location: Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh
(i) Developing & establishing governing systems & procedures in FPO
(ii) Developing business plan, mobilizing working capital and achieving business plan targets
(iii) Seed Production activities
(iv) Agriculture Input Marketing
(v) Agri Commodities Trading
Qualification:
B.Sc. /M.Sc. Agriculture, MBA- Agribusiness Management with minimum 1-2 years experience specifically in the areas of Seed/Agri Input marketing, Commodity, Trading and Seed Production.
Place of Posting: District/Block places in ASA operational areas of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Jharkhand
