Job Description

Role: Team Lead - Mechanical Test Engineer

Job Location: Bengaluru

Experience Range: 3-5 years

Education Qualification: BE Mechanical /Post Graduate in Mechanical

Job Summary:

We are seeking a candidate who has thorough knowledge of mechanical tests/experiments including building new or improving existing test procedures, preparing check lists/ test data capturing templates/ test report templates. This position requires work in collaboration with FEA team in correlation studies for solving field problems. This position also requires engineer to work with a systematic approach to identify root-cause of the problem and perform problem solving from the first principles

Responsibilities:

Will be part of machine tool dynamics testing team and will be responsible for conducting static/ dynamic testing of machine tools.
Should conduct experimental modal analyses without/ minimal support and correlate results with dynamic finite element (FE) models.
Should have good knowledge in interpreting the test data and effectively communicate the same to the team/customer.
Write proper test plan, test reports, and best practices for carrying out machine tool testing.
Responsible for maintaining the instruments in working condition, by establishing scheduled maintenance/ calibrations cycles.
Should support Thermo mechanical testing team in conducting experiments.

Requirements:

Strong problem-solving skills.
Hands on experience in FEA tools.
Basic knowledge of Lab View, MATLAB, C programming.
Good knowledge in testing static/ dynamics of mechanical system.
Good knowledge of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Machine Tool Testing will be added advantage.
Knowledge of Thermo mechanical testing will be added advantage.
Teamwork and leadership skills.
Good communication skills.
