Senior Engineer - Chennai - GlobalEnglish - 3

Job Description

 

We are looking for a smart and dynamic Senior Engineers with experience in developing web application using PHP, to join our team in Chennai, India. You should be well-versed in the design, planning, and execution of projects from a technical perspective, and be comfortable and experienced working as part of a collaborative team following agile methodology.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain PHP based Next Gen application for an e-learning product.

Maintain and Migrate existing application into more manageable Microservice based application.

Required Skills

PHP, 5 years of experience in developing enterprise applications.

Deep understanding and ability to OOP concepts and various design patterns in the code.

3 years of hands on experience with at least one of the following PHP frameworks; Symfony, Zend, Laravel.

3 years of experience with a PHP ORM library such as Propel or Doctrine.

3 years of experience with at least one of the following relational databases; MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, MSSQL or Oracle Database.

Ability to build modern, responsive and interactive web UIs following HTML, CSS and JavaScript best practices.

Experience developing and consuming RESTful API

Familiarity with source control tool such as Git.

Knowledge of coding standards and best practices.

Basic knowledge of Azure and AWS platforms.

Enjoy and excel at active technical discussion, information-sharing and collaboration.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Added Advantage:

Advanced knowledge of vanilla JavaScript.

Experience with one or more of the Javascript frameworks and libraries; ReactJS, Redux, Angular JS, Backbone JS, Vue JS.

Experience with TDD (test driven development), continues integration and continues delivery.

Experience in implementing micro-service based applications.

Experience in implementing cloud native applications.

Experience with NoSQL databases.

Experience with TypeScript.

Experience with Node JS and related frameworks.
