Job Description: 1) A professional approach must be adopted with all patients, staff and visitors. 2) Must work within their level of experience and competence and highlight verbally and in writing to the nurse in charge if they are being asked to work outside the level of their competences. 3) To receive a hand-over report on patients from the alternative Medical officer when commencing duty and to enable and establish consultant communication.,
1.Attend all casualty calls. Treat both out-patients and patients coming for admission. Treat simple cases by themselves and refer tricky or complicated cases to the same hospital consultant the next day. 2.Go for ward rounds daily. Attend ward patients before the consultant, make note of the necessary changes in symptoms, blood reports and treatment. 3.Attend all in-patient emergency calls before the consultant arrives. 4.Sign claim and reimbursement documents. 5.Certify death and issue certificates. 6.Attend operation theatre procedures and assist surgeons. 7.RMOs work in shifts (8hours duty). 8.communicate with the consultants and are supposed to spend more time with the patient.
