About the role-

The FMG Projects & Change team is accountable for:

  • Providing strong governance framework for projects across FMG, ensuring strategic alignment and a common understanding of the drivers and outcomes for success
  • Managing the FMG Pipeline of significant change initiatives, including budgets and ongoing control of projects
  • Serving as the centre of excellence in delivering Project Management services to FMG clients
  • Providing change management expertise for large business New Product integration into FMG processes
  • Advising on smaller changes, driving continuous improvement through our BAU processes and teams

The Senior Associate - FMG Projects & Change is expected to support mid to large scale finance change projects in capacities of a tester and business analyst. The candidate is expected to perform testing in line with the project strategy and support business analysis on need basis. The projects are in-line with the organization s priorities and will include functions such as Corporate/ Regulatory Reporting, Trading Finance/ Product Control, Accounting, Tax Reporting & FP&A. The successful candidate would have demonstrated experience in business analysis and be confident working across functional teams.

Detailed Role & Responsibilities-

  • Perform Tests - Responsible for execution of test cases as per the project test strategy. Perform a variety of tests, such as regression, integration, platform, and performance testing to confirm the stability of built solution.
  • Planning : Assist in managing testing schedule, critical path, contentions and interdependencies
  • Stakeholder communication : Communicating with clients and stakeholders, present demos and answer questions at the end of a sprint.
  • Report Bugs : Report and solve bugs in the solution. Work with technology team for appropriate resolution.
  • Drive Automation : Explore opportunities of automation and drive usage of new technologies
  • Business analysis support (need based): Support existing business analysts in requirement gathering. This includes acquiring an understanding of current state processes, preparing business requirements document and engaging with larger project team for execution.
  • Work with Team Members : Work collaboratively with project teams including developers, function SME, project managers and business analysts

About You-

You are an experienced finance change professional with exposure to medium to large scale projects right from inception to closure. You have demonstrated the ability to work independently, use limited information to drive meaningful outcomes and preempt and manage stakeholder requirements. To be successful in the role, you are required to have the following skills:

  • Good Understanding of STLC (Software Testing Lifecycle) / Test Case Planning and Preparation
  • Strong knowledge of Defect Life cycle and Regression Testing
  • Decent Understanding of JIRA management
  • Good hands on knowledge of Excel Pivots and SQL
  • Working knowledge of Axiom or another regulatory reporting tool
  • Good Financial Domain expertise (Regulatory Reporting)
  • Strong facilitation, oral and written communication skills ability to summarize and articulate testing results.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good stakeholder management
  • Familiarity with Agile way of working

Experience/Certifications required-

  • Tertiary qualifications in a business discipline, software related training or certification, is highly desirable.
  • Peer bank experience essential with good background & understanding of finance processes and systems
  • Comfortable in working with cross functional teams and global teams
  • Overall post-qualification experience of around 4-6 years with about 2-4 years of relevant experience in testing in accounting & regulatory projects in the Financial Services industry

Preferred-

  • Knowledge of different finance systems, databases and platforms
  • B. Com with CPA / ICWA/ MBA Finance.
