CenturyLink is looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our QA team. Software Test Engineers at CenturyLink test cutting edge applications both manually and with automated tools. Our STEs need to understand the software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with Scripting tools and/or user-level automated tools. STEs at CenturyLink are excellent individual contributors capable of taking up tasks from start to completion with minimal help. STEs would be responsible for developing high quality automated testing frameworks and test cases, specifying new tests, developing data sets, test execution and reporting.

Job Summary:

Perform full SQA cycle for software releases in a fast-pace environment. This includes - but is not limited to - gathering specs, developing test plans, running automated and manual tests as needed, and analyzing test results

• Perform and participate in all aspects of verification including requirements gathering, feature and functional & regression testing.
• Develop creative and competent analysis to identify root causes of technical problems while developing resolutions.
• Continuously develop and enhance automated test suites to improve efficiency
• Regularly review and improve test coverage
• Design testing tools, which includes developing scripts to enhance regression testing.
• Communicate effectively with managers, customers and vendors
• Maintain solid working relationships, including collaborative technical activities with peers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Prioritize tasks with good time management skills.

The ideal Candidate will be having following:

Essential Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in Software Testing - Manual & Automation
• A minimum of 1-year experience in test automation using Java - Selenium
• Good understanding of QA methodology, automation expertise, and ability to code.
• Experience with Selenium-Web driver, Selenium Grid, Java and TestNG Annotations. Parameterization, Synchronization and define Test results
• Experience of designing and implementing test frameworks (TDD/BDD) and strategy for choosing automated testing tools
• Implementing JUnit or TestNG Test Automation framework and developing automation infrastructure.
• Experience with Agile methodology and SCRUM is preferred.
• Experience in Functional, Regression testing.
• Experience in using Bug/Defect Tracking tools - JIRA
• Self-starter, can-do attitude a must in a fast-moving business and technical environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, time management and oral and written communication skills.

Desired Skills:

• Hands on experience using Postman or SoapUI/ SOATest for web service testing
• Experience in creating mock services using Postman or SoapUI/SOATest
• Ability to create regression suite using SoapUI/SOATest.
