 Assistant Vice President - Finance System

Job Description

Key Responsibilities-

This role is ultimately accountable to the GFS Leads and reporting to GFS system head and is expected to provide direct review / oversight / sign off for Finance Systems function within Finance Operations Division. Broadly this role will have the following responsibilities:

  • Manage the RTB and CTB delivery for FMG Systems team at GFS
  • Identify, engage and deliver on opportunities which help FMG with better data quality and System usage.
  • Representative for Finance systems for the business functions.
  • Support Finance with Functional Knowledge of GL, Balance Sheet Attestation, Reconciliation and Finance process system support.
  • Engage with FMG and GFS wide stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide solutions in partnership with technology.
  • Coordinate UAT s with business and technology
  • Coordinate with compliance teams like Finance Operations Risk Management
  • Deliver on system change projects through the lifecycle
  • Manage the system blueprint / architecture working closely with the Technology function
  • Work with function stakeholders to create and implement process and system improvement plans
  • Transition of new applications from Change to operations
  • Well versed with JIRA/Confluence tools

Required Skills-

  • University Degree or master s degree in any discipline with technology qualifications
  • Experience with finance technology upkeep and change delivery including process automation specifically in the area of Regulatory Reporting, Legal Entity Control, Finance Controls or Trade Finance.
  • Technology expertise on Finance GL system, Database, Application Support
  • Expertise of Finance Systems and support
  • Manage Senior stakeholders for CFO, Financial Controllers, Finance Directors
  • Experience of working in an International environment will be an added advantage
  • Expert Level knowledge in understanding and developing complex SQL queries.
  • Expert level experience in business analysis and requirements gathering in Finance Domain.
  • Manage teams with multiple skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong client orientation managing senior Finance users.

Additional Requirements-

  • Technical Software development experience in Financial services Domain.
  • Strong Technical inclination and ability to pick up new tools / technologies.
  • Experience of Automation, Fusion and Oracle Reporting are preferred.
  • PMP/Prince 2 will be a plus.
