Desired Candidate Profile
Objectives :
Based on the business needs and IT architectures; identify, analyze and implement the options for design/ development or improvement of BI applications and contributes to the maintenance of such applications leveraging big data technologies
Preferred profile/ Skills :
- 8-10 year of experience
- Business acumen (experience with CPG/ cosmetics industry will be a plus)
- Data analysis, modelling and visualizations
- Operating knowledge of cloud computing platforms (Azure preferred)
- Proficiency in at-least one of Python (preferred), Java or C++
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience in distributed computing frameworks, particularly Apache Hadoop 2.0 (YARN; M/R & HDFS) and associated technologies - one or more of Hive, Sqoop, Flume, Oozie, Zookeeper etc. Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and its components (Streaming, SQL, MLLib) will be a strong advantage
- Hands-on experience working within a Linux computing environment, and use of command line tools including knowledge of shell scripting for automating common tasks
- Self-initiated with high tolerance for ambiguity and ability to create structure (ability to work in a team in an agile setting will be a plus)
- Fluency in English Job description :
- Supports the Business owners & IT application owners- in the definition of their needs and translate them into recommendations for design/ development/ improvement of BI Applications
- Works on highly complex, cross-functional, and enterprise IT and business intelligence solutions
- Acts as a functional subject matter expert; provides expertise on functional architecture & solution designs
- Leads the designs and works with vendors/ partners (as applicable) for implementation of the designs
- Analyzes the impact of proposed solutions on the BI domain's objectives and processes
- In co-ordination with other IT application owners: defines/ implements/ manages the data sourcing strategy/ transformation and ownership rules
- Customizes/configures applications, prepares functional tests and endorses responsibility for testing/ validating data/ developments before application Go-Lives
Education:
PG: MBA/PGDM - Any Specialization
