Job Description
this role:
NOTE: This role is subject to Unisys billing rates, productivity, utilization and total chargeability metrics.
Only billable/direct client chargeable employees are to be placed in this role.
Provides team leadership and creativity in the development and implementation of services engagements.
Uses strong project management skills to deliver a range of small to medium sized engagements, projects or sub-projects within planned timelines, budget, margin, and quality specifications.
Manages the development and integration of discrete deliverables, including analysis and "client ready" written communications and presentations.
Establishes and manages the project plan (development, delivery schedule, resource requirements, 3rd parties, cost budget methodology, tools, standards and quality).
Achieves the baseline metrics for assigned project(s).
Manages and leads small work teams (up to 25 consultants and project staff).
Sets objectives and priorities for the project staff.
Assigns and reviews tasks, manages performance, and staffing requirements.
Coaches and mentors staff.
Proactively reports project risk and deliverable issues to superiors for assistance as soon as possible.
Establishes strong client relationships.
Is a key interface with the client -- communicates deliverables, conducts client meetings, obtains required client sign off and specifications, client acceptance and billing.
Writes accurate and effective statements of work so that both the client and Unisys staff understand the project expectations and roles.
Keeps industry and/or technical knowledge up-to-date leverages this knowledge to perform consulting engagements and participate in pre-sales situations, as they are made available.
Generates add-on revenue (e.g., change orders and incremental business).
Key Responsibilities Project Management and Service Delivery Uses strong project management skills and delivery methodologies to lead the delivery of projects or sub-projects within planned timelines, budget, margins and quality specifications.
Manages the development and integration of the entire project(s).
Consistently delivers high value, "client ready" work, including communications and presentations, with minimal supervision.
Writes accurate and effective statements of work so that both the client and Unisys staff understands the project expectations and roles.
Proactively reports project risk and deliverable issues to superiors for assistance as soon as possible.
Establishes and manages the project plan (development, delivery schedule, resource requirements, 3rd parties, cost budget methodology, tools, standards and quality).
Uses appropriate methodologies (such as risk mitigation/management, change/control management and contract management) to manage major projects or a group of projects.
Business Development and Client Relationship Management May generate add-on revenue within the client.
;creating change orders when additional work required is outside the original contracted scope of the project and/or services proposal activity in Unisys portfolio areas.
Develops strong client relationships Communicates deliverables, conducts client meetings, obtains required client sign off and specifications, client acceptance and billing.
Manages the performance of internal and external service providers in order to ensure the implementation of deliverables and resulting client satisfaction.
Interfaces with sub-contractors.
People Management Staffs projects and maintains the resource plan.
Provides mentoring, development and performance feedback to team members.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Key Qualifications Requires a Bachelor s Degree and a minimum of 8 years of related Project Management experience Project/practice management experience with multiple, more complex projects, generally up to $2 million of services value per year.
Successfully completed the PMI examination or passed IPMA examination as appropriate for local geography.
Successful track record of engagement and client relationship management.
University degree or equivalent education or experience.
