Backup & Storage Engineer - L2 @ Netmagic It Services

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

• Handling day to day backup activities.
• Troubleshooting the backup failures.
• Vendor co-ordination for closure of the service request , customer interaction for backup related queries , backup related documentation , backup tape management , patch and firmware upgrades co-ordination.
• 24*7 Rotational Shift

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Storage performance reporting, vendor co-ordination for firmware upgrade , addressing storage related queries.

Technical Skills:

• Backup Technologies : CA Arcserve , Symantec Netbackup , HP Data protector, Commvault, Veeam.
• Storage : EMC : AX4/ CX4/VNX series ; HP : EVA Series ; Dell/IBM : MD series, NetApp
