We are looking for a world-class team to build and scale our startup to reach several million workers by 2025.
This role at Good Worker provides a unique opportunity for a high performing individual to have broad impact. You will work closely with a talented and diverse group of engineers, product managers and industry experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience leading and developing backend services for tech companies
- Experience in design, development of data ingestion & warehousing
- Work closely with our product managers and the CTO to shape the product / feature roadmap
- Mentoring and guide less experienced team members to transform them into a world class engineering team
- Ownership of architecting and developing end-to-end data pipelines and automate data quality reporting processes in a real world production ready quality
- Work well with global teams across different time zones effectively
- Collaboration with the data teams of our customers to drive the data usage / standardisation of our products
Ideal Candidate Requirements
- 5+ years of full-time experience as a backend engineer with a focus on data
- Expert in backend development using Java or Javascript
- Experience in big data engineering tools(Hadoop, Spark, etc.) and software engineering using modern scripting languages (Python, Scala, etc.) and frameworks
- Experience writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large data sets.
- Experience with the blockchain / decentralised / open source space is preferred
- Experience in executing engineering best practices (TDD, DDD, SOLID)
- Experience working with institutional datasets in India will be a plus (Aadhar data, Voter ID data etc)
- Extensive knowledge of agile software development
