Job Title: Procurement Lead
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
Department: Procurement & Supply Chain
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent
Reporting To: Director Finance
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Lead to manage end-to-end procurement operations, vendor management, strategic sourcing, and cost optimization activities for the organization. The candidate will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, negotiating with vendors, ensuring timely procurement of goods and services, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in procurement operations, vendor negotiations, sourcing strategies, and procurement compliance within Pharma, Healthcare, Medical, NGO, Automobile, or Manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors and suppliers
- Handle vendor negotiations, commercial discussions, and contract management
- Manage the complete procurement cycle from requirement gathering to delivery
- Ensure timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining quality standards
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain vendor relationships
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize procurement processes
- Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, invoices, and documentation
- Coordinate with internal departments for procurement planning and requirements
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
- Conduct market research and identify alternative sourcing opportunities
- Manage procurement budgets and ensure cost-effective purchasing practices
- Work closely with finance and management teams for procurement planning and reporting
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Graduate in Commerce or relevant discipline preferred
- 612 years of experience in Procurement / Purchase / Strategic Sourcing
- Experience in Pharma, Healthcare, Medical, NGO, Automobile, or Manufacturing industry preferred
- Strong experience in vendor management and contract negotiation
- Good understanding of procurement operations and supply chain processes
- Exposure to SAP MM / ERP systems preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage procurement activities efficiently
