Job Description
Role Summary:
The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all housekeeping operations to ensure a clean, hygienic, and well-maintained environment across the campus/facility. The role involves team supervision, vendor management, quality control, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations across all areas (offices, hostels, common areas, etc.)
- Manage and train housekeeping staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and service
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, SOPs, and checklists
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure timely procurement
- Coordinate with external vendors for housekeeping services and audits
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain quality benchmarks
- Handle complaints and ensure timely resolution of housekeeping-related issues
- Prepare reports on housekeeping performance and operational efficiency
- Optimize manpower utilization and control housekeeping budgets
Key Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Hospitality / Hotel Management or related field
- 510 years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in hospitality, education institutions, or corporate facilities
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a dynamic environment
Preferred Profile:
- Candidates from hospitality background (hotels/resorts) will be preferred
- Experience in large campuses, universities, or hospitals is an added advantage
