Job Description
UPW Team Member (Plumber PCB Manufacturing Plant)
Discipline: UPW / Utilities / Plumbing
Department: Plant Utilities / Wet Process Support
Role Purpose
To operate and maintain Ultra Pure Water (UPW), RO, DI, and process water systems supporting PCB manufacturing processes such as etching, plating, developing, and rinsing, ensuring consistent water quality and uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot UPW, RO, DI, recycled water, and process water systems
- Maintain UPVC, PVDF, PP, and SS piping, valves, tanks, pumps, and filters
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of water distribution to PCB wet process lines
- Monitor flow rates, pressure, conductivity, pH, and contamination risks
- Support installation and modification of piping for new PCB process equipment
- Assist during shutdowns, chemical line isolation, and commissioning activities
- Ensure chemical handling safety, PPE compliance, and SOP adherence
- Maintain daily logbooks, checklists, and water quality records
Qualifications & Experience
- ITI in Plumbing / Fitter / Mechanical
- 25 years experience in PCB, semiconductor, chemical, or electronics manufacturing plants
- Exposure to wet process utilities preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Understanding of process water requirements in PCB manufacturing
- Familiarity with pumps, filters, dosing systems, and utility safety
- Strong discipline for contamination control and housekeeping
- Willingness to work in shifts
