Job Summary
As a Senior Purchasing Specialist, you will regularly interact with product teams to understand their requirements and implementation needs. You will troubleshoot issues across environments and be responsible for monitoring, optimization, and performance tuning.
Requirements
- Knowledge of P2P tools and end-user functionality
- Strong understanding of purchasing processes
- Adherence to organizational procurement policies and procedures
- Team player with high motivation, positive attitude, and flexibility
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders and suppliers
- Strong problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Understand purchasing and procurement methods and procedures
- Prepare and execute purchase orders and releases
- Manage transactional interactions with suppliers
- Ensure proper accounts are charged for purchased materials; reconcile discrepancies with accounting and end users
- Select contracts/suppliers in line with approved purchasing strategies
- Resolve supplier claims, invoice discrepancies, and issues related to damaged/returned goods or shipping dates
- Provide timely reports, information, and analysis
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and client users
- Route high-value items not on contract to tactical buyers
- Resolve queries and issues in the P2R process
- Identify and communicate supplier diversity opportunities
- Manage supplier interactions for issue resolution
