Lead Full-Stack Developer Data Platform Portal (GCP) - 4 positions Open

We are seeking a Lead Full-Stack Developer to design and build a next-generation internal Data Platform Portal that simplifies and abstracts the complexity of our data ecosystem.
This platform will sit on top of GCP, BigQuery, dbt, and Airflow (Cloud Composer), providing a clean, intuitive UI and robust API layer that enables self-service workflows for technical users.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will own both frontend and backend architecture, build scalable integration layers, and drive platform usability, performance, and reliability.
What Youll Do
Full-Stack Development & Architecture Lead the design and development of a component-based frontend and scalable backend services Build a unified Data Platform Portal that abstracts complex infrastructure into simple workflows Define best practices for code structure, performance, and scalability
Frontend & UI/UX
Develop a modern, intuitive UI for technical users Build reusable components
for:
Data workflows
Platform provisioning
Monitoring and visibility
Focus on usability, performance, and clean design
Backend & API Engineering
Design and build highly scalable backend services Develop REST and/or gRPC APIs to power the platform Ensure APIs are:
Performant
Secure
Well-documented
Platform Integration
Build integration layers (connectors) between:
Cloud Composer (Airflow)
BigQuery
Dataplex
dbt
Enable seamless communication across distributed data platform components
Security & Access Control
Implement robust authentication and authorization:
OAuth / OIDC
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
Ensure secure access across both UI and backend services
Reliability & Performance
Ensure high availability and scalability of platform services Optimize system performance and responsiveness Build resilient systems with strong error handling and observability
What Were Looking For
Strong experience as a Full-Stack Developer (Lead or Senior level) Proven experience building scalable web applications and APIs Hands-on experience
with:
Frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or similar) Backend development (Node.js, Python, or similar) Experience designing and building:
REST and/or gRPC APIs
Microservices-based architectures
Prior experience integrating with GCP services, including:
BigQuery
Cloud Composer (Airflow)
Dataplex
Dbt
Strong understanding of:
Authentication & authorization (OAuth, OIDC, RBAC) Cloud-native architectures System scalability and reliability Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
Experience building internal developer platforms or portals Familiarity with data engineering workflows and tooling Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices Exposure to event-driven architectures
