Job Description
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our GPT Platform and Agentic Systems team. This role focuses on designing and building scalable backend services, enabling GPTpowered capabilities, and developing agentic systems that improve platform reliability and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong Python backend expertise, experience working with LLM-based systems, and a passion for building autonomous, agent-driven workflows that support cloud operations and platform management at scale. This role will contribute to production-grade, enterprise-ready services that leverage GPT and agentic architectures to reduce operational toil, improve system resilience, and accelerate issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services using Python and modern frameworks such as FastAPI
- Build, operate, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices that support GPT- and LLM-powered workflows
- Implement asynchronous, non-blocking service architectures to support highthroughput, low-latency systems
- Design and develop agentic systems capable of autonomously detecting, diagnosing, and recommending actions for platform and operational issues
- Leverage agent-based approaches to support Cloud Operations and DevOps teams, reducing Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) and improving overall system reliability
- Develop and integrate configuration management, service orchestration, and gateway-based architectures
- Collaborate closely with client teams and internal stakeholders to ensure services meet reliability, performance, security, and availability requirements
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and production release processes
- Develop and maintain documentation across the full software development lifecycle
- Take ownership of key technical and architectural decisions related to backend services, agentic workflows, and platform integration
- Stay up to date with emerging trends in LLMs, agentic systems, cloud-native architectures, and backend engineering best practices
Requirements and Skills
- 4+ years of professional experience developing backend services or applications using Python as a core programming language
- Strong experience building RESTful APIs and microservices using frameworks such as FastAPI or similar
- Experience working with large language models (LLMs) and GPT-based systems in production environments
- Familiarity with agentic frameworks, autonomous workflows, or AI-driven decision systems
- Experience with asynchronous programming, event-driven architectures, and message-based systems
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and cloud-native service design
- Experience integrating backend services with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
- Strong understanding of system reliability, observability, and operational best practices
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering, operations, and client teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience designing systems that support Cloud Operations, SRE, or DevOps use cases
- Familiarity with service orchestration, configuration management, and API gateway patterns
- Experience with vector databases, RAG architectures, or LLM tooling (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph)
- Exposure to production monitoring, alerting, and incident response workflows
- Contributions to open-source projects or internal engineering accelerators
- A genuine interest in autonomous systems, AI-driven operations, and platform engineering
