Role: Desktop Support Engineer / IT Support Engineer

Experience: 4+ Years

Work Location: Gurgaon

Work Mode: On-Site


Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Engineer with 4+ years of experience in providing end-user IT support and maintaining desktop infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues along with strong communication and customer service skills. Candidates with CCNA certification and basic networking/security knowledge will be preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, IP phones, and software applications.
  • Provide technical support to end users via phone, email, remote access, or in person.
  • Perform system maintenance activities including OS updates, security patches, antivirus updates, and data backups.
  • Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Support basic network troubleshooting, cabling, patching, and connectivity issues.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and document technical issues, resolutions, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams and vendors for issue resolution and system upgrades.
  • Ensure timely closure of support tickets as per SLA standards.
  • Assist users with Microsoft Office applications, operating systems, and standard enterprise tools.

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in Desktop Support / IT Support.
  • Good understanding of Windows, macOS, and basic Linux operating systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Networking and IT Security concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with cabling, patching, and LAN connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Experience in end-user support for Office Automation (OA) and software-related issues.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Customer-focused attitude with professional behavior.

Preferred Skills:

  • CCNA Certification (Preferred).
  • Experience with Active Directory, Outlook, VPN, and remote support tools.
  • Knowledge of hardware components and peripheral device management.
