 Senior Automation Analyst

Job Description

What success looks like in this role:

The SeniorAutomation Analyst will lead automation initiatives across multiple clients and solutions, owning the end-to-end lifecycle from intake analysis to delivery and closure. This role combines strong client engagement, process design, and agile expertise with selective use of AI tools to accelerate discovery, improve documentation, and enhance decision-making. The analyst will mentor junior team members and demonstrate proficiency in Scrum, Product Owner, and Scrum Master responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement Relationship Management
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding automation initiatives.
    • Manage Level 1 client escalations and ensure timely resolution.
    • Use AI-powered sentiment analysis selectively to assess client feedback and improve communication strategies.
  • Opportunity Identification Analysis
    • Identify automation opportunities through data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and immersion sessions.
    • Conduct ideation workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Calculate ROI and prioritize opportunities based on business value.
    • Use AI tools to identify automation opportunities uncovering patterns
  • Automation Design Delivery
    • Collaborate with Technical Architects and SMEs to design automation solutions across Datacenter, Cloud, and other platforms.
    • Define scope, create epics, features, and user stories aligned with client value proposition.
    • Facilitate backlog grooming and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
    • Use AI tools in design and delivery to enhance quality and standards
  • Testing Quality Assurance
    • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure adherence to quality standards.
    • Use AI-based test case generation for complex scenarios to accelerate validation.
  • Mentorship Agile Leadership
    • Mentor junior analysts, providing guidance on best practices, tools, and methodologies.
    • Act as a Product Owner and perform Scrum Master duties when required.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Reporting Communication
    • Provide KPI reports and progress updates to stakeholders.
    • Deliver presentations and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
    • Use AI visualization tools to enhance clarity and story telling.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Required Skills Qualifications

  • Exceptional detailed awareness of automation tools (e.g., ServiceNow Orchestrator, Azure Automation, Ansible, Agentic AI).
  • Strong technical knowledge in Windows, Linux, and VMware administration; familiarity with network, database, and cloud administration preferred.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, O365, Visio, draw.io and project management tools.
  • Advanced presentation and communication skills (PowerPoint expertise).
  • Financial acumen to calculate ROI and assess business cases.
  • Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies (Scrum), and Product Owner role.
  • Certifications in Product Ownership and familiarity with Scrum Master responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of Design Thinking, Lean Startup, and ITIL principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process engineering skills.
  • Attributes: Curiosity, innovative mindset, agility, and resilience.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

  • Data Analysis Visualization Tools: Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent reporting tools for insights and dashboards.
  • Automation Workflow Tools: Familiarity with Orchestration tools (ServiceNow, Azure Logic Apps) and RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere) and orchestration tools.
  • Cloud Certifications: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), AWS Cloud Practitioner, or Google Cloud Digital Leader.
  • Agile Scrum Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent; SAFe Agile certifications are a plus.
  • Business Analysis Certifications: CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis).
  • IT Service Management: ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Process Improvement: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
  • Gen AI certifications

Education and experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or Analytics, Business Information Systems, and Software Engineering or related fields with 5 to 8 years of experience and 3 to 4 years of relevant experience.
