Job Title: Service Now Technical Lead

The ServiceNow Lead will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing ServiceNow workflows and integrations that support a centralized data management initiative. This role will ensure seamless ticket intake, incident and change management, and automation of service processes across ETL (Informatica), reporting (Tableau, Power BI), and DevOps environments.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer who can operate as a hands-on technical expert and solution architect within the platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for independently designing, building, and implementing highquality solutions aligned with ServiceNow best practices. This role requires strong crossmodule expertise, the ability to lead complex initiatives, and experience working across multiple ServiceNow products.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Development
- Lead endtoend design and development of ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, Employee Service Center (ESC), SourcetoPay (S2P), Workplace Service Delivery (WSD), and other modules.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
- Propose architectural approaches, data models, integrations, and workflow designs following platform best practices.
- Develop complex workflows, UI policies, client/server scripts, Catalog items, Flow Designer actions, and advanced configurations.
Platform Enhancements & Upgrades
- Support and lead platform upgrades, including impact analysis, remediation, and optimization.
- Implement platform-level enhancements such as ACLs, custom tables, Script Includes, Business Rules, and performance tuning.
CrossFunctional Collaboration
- Work closely with product owners, functional consultants, developers, architects, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in requirement workshops, solution walkthroughs, grooming sessions, and technical reviews.
- Provide mentorship to junior developers and ensure adherence to coding and configuration standards.
Integration & Automation
- Design and implement integrations using IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and third-party connectors.
- Automate business processes using Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and orchestration capabilities.
Quality Assurance & Documentation
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and ensure compliance with development standards.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation including solution designs, test cases, and operational guides.
Required Qualifications
- 610 years of hands-on experience developing on the ServiceNow platform.
- Deep expertise in ITSM, including Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, and Service Catalog.
- Strong exposure to Employee Service Center (ESC/HRSD), S2P, and Workplace Service Delivery (WSD) modules.
- Proven ability to architect and implement complex, multi-module ServiceNow solutions.
- Strong proficiency in:
- JavaScript & Glide scripting
- Flow Designer / Workflow
- Service Portal / UI Builder
- IntegrationHub & API integrations
- Data modeling & ACL security
- Experience with platform upgrades and ensuring backward compatibility.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise service management concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) preferred
- Module-specific certifications (ITSM, HRSD, SPM, WSD, etc.)
- Experience implementing Service Catalog / ESC portals and custom widgets
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery
