Job Description
Position Overview
CGI is seeking a skilled Oracle Retail Technical Consultant to join the Application Development team. The candidate will be responsible for delivering custom developments, enhancements, and optimizations across Oracle Retail applications. This role requires strong technical expertise in Oracle Retail modules along with the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions.
Your Future Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement custom solutions for Oracle Retail applications such as RMS, ReSA, RPM, and related modules
- Configure and customize Oracle Retail modules to meet evolving business requirements
- Develop enhancements to improve system performance, functionality, and business processes
- Build and deploy RICE components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions)
- Integrate Oracle Retail applications with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, POS, WMS, and eCommerce platforms
- Work with APIs, web services, and other integration techniques for seamless data exchange
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement tuning and optimization solutions
- Support implementation of upgrades, patches, and new releases
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developments and configurations
Required Qualifications to be Successful in this Role
- 612 years of overall IT experience
- Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Retail applications
- At least 5 years in a technical consulting/development role
- Strong expertise in Oracle Retail modules such as RMS, ReSA, RPM
- Good understanding of retail business processes and operations
- Proven experience in system integration with ERP, CRM, POS, WMS, and eCommerce platforms
- Strong performance tuning and optimization skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience with Oracle Retail Demand Forecasting and Store Operations modules
- Knowledge of Oracle Retail architecture and deployment models
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Experience with version control tools such as Git
