Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Configure, implement, and support the SAP PP (Production Planning) module for manufacturing and production processes.
- Manage and optimize production planning activities including MRP, production orders, capacity planning, and shop floor execution.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate functional requirements into SAP solutions.
- Perform system configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and process-related issues within SAP PP.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including MM, SD, and QM to ensure seamless process integration.
- Prepare and maintain functional specifications, process documentation, test scenarios, and user guides.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Participate in system enhancements, change requests, and optimization projects.
Preferred candidate profile
- 6-9 years of hands-on experience as an SAP PP Functional Consultant.
- Strong expertise in:
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Production Planning
- Production Orders
- Shop Floor Execution
- Manufacturing process optimization
- Proven experience in SAP PP configuration, customization, and support.
- Good understanding of integration points between SAP PP and MM, SD, and QM modules.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with business users and technical teams.
- Experience working in manufacturing or supply chain environments is preferred.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA implementation or support projects is an added advantage.
- Capable of handling end-to-end functional activities including requirement gathering, testing, deployment, and support.
