Position Description
Job Title: Senior Test Automation Engineer
Exp- 5 to 11 years
We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium, BDD (Cucumber), and Karate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks for both UI and API testing, ensuring high-quality software delivery in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium and BDD tools (Cucumber).
Develop and execute automated test scripts for web applications and APIs using Karate.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, etc.).
Perform API testing, validate responses, and ensure end-to-end test coverage.
Analyze test results, log defects, and track them to closure.
Mentor junior team members and drive best practices in test automation.
Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Skills:
6+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation.
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver (Java preferred).
Strong experience in BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
Experience with Karate for API automation testing.
Good understanding of REST APIs and tools like Postman.
Experience with version control tools like Git and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
Strong knowledge of test design techniques and automation best practices.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Good to Have:
Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, etc.).
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
