Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager with strong expertise in Java, Kafka, and Mobile Technologies to lead enterprise-scale application development and integration. This role requires a blend of deep technical knowledge, architectural vision, and leadership skills to drive innovation, scalability, and delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership
- Provide architectural guidance and hands-on expertise in Java (Advanced features, Spring Boot, Microservices).
- Conduct deep-dive code reviews to ensure maintainability, scalability, and adherence to best practices.
- Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and performance optimization strategies.
- Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka)
- Lead the design and implementation of Kafka-based messaging and streaming solutions.
- Ensure reliable, scalable, and high-throughput event-driven systems for enterprise applications.
- Oversee integration of Kafka with backend services and mobile applications.
- Mobile Technology Oversight
- Manage development of mobile applications (Android/iOS) with focus on responsive design, modular components, and seamless integration with backend services.
- Ensure mobile solutions meet performance, security, and user experience standards.
- Data & Integration Management
- Oversee polyglot persistence strategies (e.g., Oracle, MongoDB, or other relevant databases).
- Ensure efficient data flow, validation, and reconciliation across systems.
- Delivery & DevOps
- Drive CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Ensure smooth deployment and scalability via Docker/Kubernetes.
- Champion automation and continuous improvement in delivery processes.
- Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead hiring, mentoring, and performance appraisals for technical teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align technical solutions with organizational goals.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clear communication and delivery alignment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Java (Advanced features, Spring Boot, Microservices).
- Proven experience with Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, stream processing).
- Hands-on experience in mobile application development (Android/iOS frameworks).
- Solid understanding of system architecture, design patterns, and performance tuning.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Strong background in data modeling, schema design, and integration strategies.
Leadership & Soft Skills
- 12 to 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering and technical leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor teams, conduct performance reviews, and drive talent development.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivery excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with API management and microservices orchestration.
- Knowledge of banking/financial services domain is a plus.
