L2/L3 - Batch / Scheduler Engineer Experience 02-04 Years

Role Overview: Looking for an experienced Batch/Scheduler Engineer (L2/L3 support) to manage enterprise job scheduling environments using UC4/Control-M/Airflow. The role involves monitoring scheduled jobs, handling job failures, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth execution of batch processes across critical business applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Job Monitoring & Scheduling
- Monitor daily batch schedules across UC4/Control-M/Airflow.
- Ensure timely execution of jobs and workflows.
- Create, modify, and optimize job schedules as per business requirements.
- Incident & Failure Management
- Investigate and resolve job failures, delays, or performance issues.
- Provide L2/L3 support for escalated incidents from operations teams.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
- Troubleshooting & Support
- Work closely with application teams to troubleshoot job dependencies and failures.
- Analyse logs, error codes, and system alerts to identify issues.
- Continuous Improvement
- Automate repetitive tasks and improve monitoring capabilities.
- Optimize job scheduling to reduce resource contention and improve efficiency.
- Document procedures, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
- Collaboration
- Partner with infrastructure, application, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of batch processes.
- Support deployment of new jobs and workflows in production environments.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical batch support.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with UC4/Control-M/ Airflow.
- Solid understanding of job scheduling, batch processing, and monitoring.
- Experience in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
- Ability to work under pressure in a 24x7 production support environment.
