We are seeking a Global Labelling and Artwork Coordinator to join and strengthen our existing team and to support the US Market.
Who we are looking for:
The Global Labelling and Artwork Coordinator will be responsible for managing product labelling and packaging artwork across multiple markets, ensuring compliance with country-specific regulatory requirements and internal brand standards. The role involves coordinating between regulatory, marketing, quality, printers, and external agencies to ensure the timely and accurate release of packaging artwork.
Key Responsibilities
1. Artwork Management
- Coordinate the creation, revision, and approval of packaging artwork for global markets.
- Maintain version control of all artwork files and ensure the use of approved templates.
- Manage artwork workflows from concept to final print approval.
- Review artwork layouts to ensure accuracy of product information, claims, and formatting.
- Liaise with external design agencies and printers to ensure artwork readiness.
2. Regulatory Label Compliance
- Ensure product labels comply with regulatory requirements across target markets (e.g., US FDA, CFIA Canada, UK FSA, EU regulations, etc.).
- Verify mandatory labelling elements such as:
- Nutrition panels
- Ingredient declarations
- Allergen statements
- Net quantity declarations
- Country-of-origin statements
- Importer/distributor information
- Maintain country-specific labelling checklists and regulatory databases.
- Track regulatory changes that affect product labelling.
3. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with:
- Regulatory teams
- Marketing teams
- Quality Assurance
- Packaging Development
- Supply Chain
- Ensure correct product information is reflected in artwork.
- Support product launches by coordinating artwork timelines.
4. Change Control & Documentation
- Manage artwork revisions through formal change control processes.
- Maintain records of:
- Artwork approvals
- Regulatory sign-offs
- Packaging versions
- Ensure traceability of artwork history.
5. Vendor & Printer Coordination
- Communicate final artwork to printers and packaging suppliers.
- Review printer proofs and coordinate corrections where required.
- Ensure packaging specifications align with approved artwork.
6. Artwork Quality & Proofing
- Conduct detailed proofreading of:
- Text accuracy
- Font sizes
- Mandatory declarations
- Barcode placement
- Layout formatting
- Ensure bilingual or multilingual label compliance where required (e.g., Canada).
7. Digital Asset & Template Management
- Maintain a centralised artwork library.
- Manage templates for:
- Nutrition panels
- Regulatory declarations
- Standard pack formats
- Ensure accessibility of current artwork versions.
Key Deliverables
- Regulatory-compliant packaging artwork across global markets
- Accurate label approval documentation
- Timely artwork readiness for product launches
- Zero major regulatory non-compliance due to artwork errors
- Maintained artwork version control system
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in:
- Food Science
- Regulatory Affairs
- Packaging Technology
- Graphic Design (with regulatory experience)
- Life Sciences or related field
Required Experience
- 36 years of experience in:
- Packaging artwork coordination
- Food labelling compliance
- Regulatory or quality environment
- Experience with multi-country labelling requirements preferred.
- Experience working with printers or artwork agencies is desirable.
