Senior Product Owner

Key Responsibilities
Product Leadership & Strategy
Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for the Office Assistant platform.
Define product vision, roadmap, and execution strategy focused on prior authorization automation and optimization.
Identify opportunities to reduce administrative burden, improve turnaround times, and enhance provider experience.
Translate complex healthcare workflows into scalable, AI-driven product solutions.
Prior Authorization Expertise
Demonstrate deep domain knowledge of the prior authorization lifecycle, including:
Submission (manual and electronic)
Clinical documentation requirements
Medical necessity validation
Payer rules and policies
Approval, denial, and appeals workflows
Design and validate automation workflows for:
Eligibility checks
Documentation completeness
Decision routing and escalation
Understand payer-specific nuances and variability in PA requirements.
Claims Process Knowledge
Possess strong understanding of end-to-end claims lifecycle, including:
Pre-service authorization impact on claims adjudication
Coding (CPT/ICD) dependencies
Claims submission, processing, and denial management
Ensure tight alignment between prior authorization decisions and downstream claims outcomes.
Identify opportunities to reduce claim denials through better PA accuracy and completeness.
Healthcare Data & Interoperability
Apply working knowledge of FHIR and other healthcare data exchange standards to:
Enable seamless integration between provider systems, payer platforms, and third-party services
Structure and standardize clinical and administrative data used in PA workflows
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure data integrity and compliance.
AI Workflow & Automation
Define and optimize AI-driven workflows for:
Intelligent intake of prior authorization requests
Clinical documentation extraction and validation
Decision support and automation of approvals where applicable
Partner with data science teams to continuously improve decision accuracy and efficiency.
Stakeholder Management & Leadership
Act as the primary liaison between:
Providers
Payers
Clinical teams
Engineering and AI teams
Client stakeholders
Demonstrate strong leadership by:
Asking the right clinical, operational, and business questions
Driving clarity in ambiguous situations
Influencing decisions across senior stakeholders
Advocate for both provider experience and payer compliance.
