Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SCCM/MECM Engineer (L2/L3) to design, implement, manage, and support Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Intune environments. The role involves application deployment, patch management, endpoint health, reporting, OS deployment, and troubleshooting across enterprise environments, ensuring service levels, security compliance, and operational excellence.


Location: Noida/Pune


Key Responsibilities


SCCM / MECM Administration

  • Design, plan, implement, and manage the SCCM/MECM hierarchy.
  • Administer and troubleshoot SCCM components such as:
    • Management Point (MP)
    • Distribution Point (DP)
    • Software Update Point (SUP)
    • Reporting Services (SSRS)
    • WSUS
    • Cloud Management Gateway (CMG)
    • Internet-Based Client Management (IBCM)
    • Perform SCCM disaster recovery and backup/restore operations.

Application Deployment & Endpoint Management

  • Create, deploy, and troubleshoot Applications and Packages via SCCM/MECM.
  • Manage enterprise endpoints and servers, ensuring SCCM client health.
  • Perform remote management and troubleshooting of Windows endpoints.
  • Handle unattended/silent installations and Windows OS interactions.

Patch & Update Management

  • Ensure monthly patching of servers and endpoints using SCCM/MECM in line with organizational standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to SUP, WSUS, and client-side patching.
  • Understand vulnerability reports and mitigate risks through patch management.
  • Knowledge of Azure Update Management Point for patching/vulnerability management.
  • Manage Windows 10 servicing and OS in-place upgrades.

Operating System Deployment (OSD)

  • Perform base metal installations and OS in-place upgrades.
  • Implement and maintain PXE boot environments and regularly update images.
  • Create and troubleshoot Task Sequences.
  • Hands-on experience with WAIK tools, MDOP, and ACT.

Intune & Co-Management

  • Perform Intune and Co-Management tasks including:
    • User and group management
    • Intune license assignment
    • Device enrollment
    • Manage MDM and MAM policies, App Protection Policies.
    • Customize Company Portal and assign applications to users or groups.
    • Support Office 365 (O365) deployment and update management.

Reporting & Automation

  • Generate monthly reports using SSRS.
  • Build and maintain patching dashboards, client health dashboards, and custom reports.
  • Develop and optimize SQL/WQL queries for reporting and automation.
  • Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, VBScript, and Batch scripting.
  • ITSM & Operations
  • Manage Incidents, Requests, Changes, and Problems using ITSM tools such as:
    • ServiceNow
    • BMC Remedy
  • Ensure SLAs, KPIs, and high-performance targets are consistently met.
  • Handle escalations and provide root cause analysis for production issues.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Actively collaborate and contribute as a strong team player.
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for desktop application components.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interaction.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with SCCM/MECM.
  • Strong experience with:
    • SCCM hierarchy management
    • Application deployment and patching
    • WSUS and SUP troubleshooting
    • SCCM Disaster Recovery
  • Experience with Intune and Co-Management.
  • Advanced knowledge of:
    • Windows 10 / Windows OS internals
    • Windows Registry
    • Driver integration
    • Enterprise hardware and software
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with multiple competing priorities.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with O365 deployment and updates.
  • Exposure to vulnerability remediation and compliance reporting.
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • ITIL Foundation certification (preferred).
