Job Description
Senior Java Developer
Overview
As a developer, you would be responsible for working on a variety of developing projects primarily in Java/J2EE/postgres stack as well as developing new features, bug fixes and providing dev support to
multiple existing products. Additionally, you will be responsible for the Research & Development related to exploring enhancements in the components used for the application development.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and support robust software solutions
- Convert requirements into high-quality Java
- Implement using best practices and standards for all development
- Apply clean code practices through regular refactoring
- Strategically address technical debt
- Collaborate with other Developers through peer reviews, pair programming, and mentoring
- Collaborate with Lead Developers to understand and advise on architectural and
- design requirements
- Assist DevOps Engineers with identifying resource needs for proposed features
- Assist Quality Assurance Engineers with the creation and maintenance of acceptance tests
- Other duties as required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Extensive experience building software solutions using object-oriented analysis and design
- Extensive experience designing secure, scalable, and highly available web applications
- Extensive experience in building software solutions using clean code best practices and test-driven development
- Extensive experience with Java, JSP
- Experience with XML, SQL
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with AI-native IDEs and LLM-based coding assistants. Candidates should be comfortable using agentic workflows for debugging, refactoring, and codebase navigation.
