Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic Techno-Functional Analyst with a strong foundation in DRG coding and a passion for data analytics. This role is ideal for professionals who can bridge the gap between clinical operations and technical analytics, leveraging coding expertise to drive data-driven insights and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform and validate DRG coding for inpatient claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Translate business and clinical requirements into analytical solutions using tools like SQL, Python, or Tableau.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze provider spend, contract-level performance, and reimbursement trends.
Support automation and optimization of coding workflows using technology.
Document functional requirements and contribute to system enhancements or transformation projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
23 years of experience in DRG coding (ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRG/APR-DRG).
Strong interest and foundational skills in data analytics and healthcare data.
Ability to interpret and work with large datasets, including identifying patterns and anomalies.
Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
Basic programming or scripting knowledge (SQL, Python preferred).

Preferred Skills:

Experience working in a techno-functional role within healthcare or payer-provider environments.
Understanding of healthcare reimbursement models and contract structures.
Exposure to ETL processes, data warehousing, or healthcare data platforms.
Strong communication skills to liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
