Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Architect to design, implement, and optimize scalable data solutions on the Snowflake platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data architecture, cloud data warehousing, and modern data engineering practices, with the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data architectures using Snowflake
- Develop and optimize data models (star schema, snowflake schema)
- Lead data migration projects from legacy systems to Snowflake
- Define best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and storage
- Build and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using tools like dbt, Airflow, or similar
- Ensure data security, governance, and compliance within Snowflake
- Monitor and optimize query performance and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members
- Stay updated with new Snowflake features and cloud technologies
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and implementation
- Expertise in SQL and data modeling techniques
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools (dbt, Informatica, Talend, etc.)
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
- Experience in performance tuning and query optimization
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and access controls
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Snowflake certification (e.g., SnowPro Core / Advanced)
- Experience with real-time data pipelines (Kafka, Spark, etc.)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.)
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- Exposure to DevOps/DataOps practices
