Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled .NET Backend Developer to design and build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices. The candidate should have strong experience in C#, .NET, SQL databases and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure). Exposure to Generative AI tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor is a plus.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in C# and .NET (Core / .NET 6 / 8) for backend API development.
- Building and consuming RESTful APIs in production environments.
- Working knowledge of SQL Server or MySQL writing queries, joins, indexing, and basic tuning.
- Solid understanding of Microservices architecture (service boundaries, communication, deployment).
- Hands-on experience with at least one Cloud platform AWS or Azure.
- Working knowledge of Design Patterns and SOLID principles.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Git for version control and branching strategies.
- CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
- Message brokers RabbitMQ or similar.
- Caching with Redis.
- Authentication mechanisms JWT, OAuth 2.0.
- Generative AI awareness and hands-on use of AI Copilots (GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using C# / .NET.
- Build microservices that are scalable, secure and easy to maintain.
- Write clean, well-structured code following SOLID principles and design patterns.
- Work with SQL databases design schemas, write efficient queries, and troubleshoot performance.
- Deploy and run services on AWS or Azure.
- Collaborate with frontend, QA and DevOps teams across the delivery cycle.
- Use AI coding tools (where applicable) to improve productivity and code quality.Role & responsibilities
