Assistant Manager - Manufacturing SMT @ Visteon

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for achieving the manufacturing metrics target as set in the management objective OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) / FTT (First time through); Safety (Lost time cases)
• Responsible for shop floor discipline and enforcement of company rules. Responsible for PQCDSM from all 3 shifts
• Ability to manage a large team in all 3 shifts
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts.
• Must be able to communicate effectively within the organization vide oral and written means
• Train-evaluate women to meet the job requirement
• Interact with Material planning, Quality, Purchasing, HR and Maintenance functions to effectively carryout day to day activities
• Responsible for implementing IATF, IMS. TPM in the shopfloor Responsible for driving continuous improvements in the shopfloor

Qualification and Experience

B.E (Mechanical, Production, Automobile, EEE, ECE) with 8 to 12 years of experience in SMT manufacturing

Required competencies

• Candidates with green belt six sigma are preferred
• Candidates must have hands on experience in IATF core tools
• Knowledge about TPM, TQM and Lean tools are preferred
• Good communication in English and Tamil are preferred
• MS-Office and MS-Excel are must
• Knowledge about SAP or QAD is an added advantage
• Candidates from EMS background is an added advantage
