Sr. Engineer - Design @ Tata Technologies

Job Description

• CMM Programming & Operation:- Develop, test,and optimize CMM programs using software such as Metrology, PC-DMIS, orequivalent.
• Perform dimensional inspections on stampedcomponents and assemblies per engineering drawings and GD&T(ASME Y14.5)standards.
• Stamping Process Support:- Validate die and tooldimensions for stamping operations.
• Conduct first-off inspection and supportdie try-out activities.
• Collaborate with tool room and production teams toresolve stamping-related dimensional issues.
• Measurement & Reporting:- Generate detailedmeasurement reports for PPAP, GR&R studies, and customer requirements.
• Interpret and analyze mea surement data to identify deviations and supportroot-cause investigations.
• Support Fixture & Strategy Development:-Design and d evelop measurement fixtures and jigs for stamped parts.
• Createmeasurement strategies aligned with RPS (Reference Point System) an d industrystandards.
• Calibration & Maintenance:- Maintaincalibration schedules and verification of all metrology equipment.
• Conductpreventive maintenance on CMM machines and related fixtures.
• Collaboration & Training:- Work closely withQuality, Production, and Toolroom teams to resolve measurement-related issues.
• Train operators on CMM and other metrology equipment for correct us age andbasic program optimization.
• Continuous Improvement:- Support projects aimedat improving measurement processes and reducing inspection cycle times.
• Ensurecompliance with ISO 17025 and customer-specific requirements.
