Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Motor Insurance

• Underwrite motor insurance policies (Private Car, Two-Wheeler, Commercial Vehicles)
• Risk evaluation as per insurer underwriting guidelines
• Policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations
• Coordination with insurers for quotes, approvals, and claims support
• Handling break-in cases and inspection coordination

Commercial Insurance

• Underwriting of commercial lines such as:
• Fire & Allied Perils
• Marine
• Engineering
• Liability & Miscellaneous policies
• Risk assessment and documentation review
• Negotiation with insurers for competitive quotes
• Policy placement, issuance, and endorsements
• Ensuring regulatory and insurer compliance

Life Insurance

• Underwriting individual and group life insurance proposals
• Scrutiny of proposal forms and medical/financial documents
• Coordination with insurance companies for underwriting decisions
• Follow-ups for pending requirements and policy issuance
• Maintaining accurate underwriting records

Health Insurance

• Underwriting individual and group health insurance policies
• Evaluation of proposals, medical declarations, and underwriting requirements
• Coordination with insurers for approvals, loading, and policy issuance
• Handling renewals, endorsements, and portability cases
• Assisting clients and internal teams with underwriting-related queries

Cyber Insurance

• Underwriting cyber insurance policies for corporate and commercial clients
• Assessment of cyber risk exposure based on client profiles and proposal details
• Coordination with insurers for quotations, coverage terms, and approvals
• Review of proposal forms, IT security questionnaires, and risk disclosures
• Policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals in compliance with insurer guidelines
