Job Description
Job Summary
We are hiring a Principal Technical Architect (Full Stack) to own architecture, technology strategy, and engineering excellence across multiple delivery streams. You will design and govern scalable, secure, high-performance systems and mentor engineering teams across frontend, backend, database, and cloud.
Mandatory: Strong experience in E-commerce platforms (Magento/Adobe Commerce preferred).
Added Advantage: Hands-on exposure to Adobe Commerce (Magento 2).
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & System Design
- Own end-to-end architecture for enterprise web applications (full stack).
- Define reference architectures, NFRs (scalability, security, performance), and integration patterns.
- Lead architecture reviews, design governance, and best practices across projects.
- Assess legacy systems and drive modernization (microservices, API-first, cloud migration, re-platforming).
Technical Leadership & Engineering Excellence
- Provide technical direction on design patterns, coding standards, and reusable components.
- Mentor and guide frontend, backend, database, DevOps teams.
- Drive engineering maturity: CI/CD, code quality, observability, security, performance tuning.
Innovation & Pre-sales Support
- Evaluate emerging tech and build PoCs / prototypes where required.
- Support technical solutioning, proposal inputs, estimations, and customer discussions with Product/Sales.
Delivery Oversight & Quality
- Review deliverables for architecture compliance, quality metrics, and performance benchmarks.
- Identify risks early, define mitigation strategies, and support teams in resolving complex issues.
Must-Have Skills (Primary)
Full Stack
- Frontend: React / Angular / Vue.js (any one strong; others are plus)
- Backend:
- PHP (Laravel / Symfony / Magento preferred) OR
- Python (Django / Flask / FastAPI) OR
- .NET Core / ASP.NET Core
- Databases: PostgreSQL / MySQL / SQL Server
- Cloud: AWS / Azure (hands-on architecture + deployment)
Architecture & Core Capabilities
- 15+ years in software engineering with strong architecture ownership
- Microservices, REST/GraphQL API design, event-driven architecture (Kafka/RabbitMQ) (any exposure)
- System design: scalability, caching, performance optimization, resiliency, fault tolerance
- Security best practices: OWASP, authentication/authorization, secure APIs
- CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps/GitLab (any)
- Observability: logging/monitoring/APM (any)
Preferred / Good-to-Have
- E-commerce domain experience is essential (checkout, catalog, pricing, promotions, OMS, integrations, payment gateways)
- Adobe Commerce / Magento 2 experience (strong plus)
- Experience in digital commerce transformation or product engineering
- Containerization / orchestration exposure: Docker, Kubernetes (plus)
- Experience handling global stakeholders/clients (US/UK)
