Job Summary

The Junior Consultant Anesthesiology is responsible for administering anesthesia, monitoring patients during surgical procedures, and ensuring safe perioperative care. The role involves working closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Role & responsibilities

• Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia as per patient and surgical requirements
• Evaluate patients pre-operatively (medical history, physical condition, risk assessment)
• Monitor vital signs and patient condition during surgery
• Manage airway and ensure patient stability throughout procedures
• Provide post-operative care, including pain management and recovery monitoring
• Respond to emergency situations such as cardiac arrest, trauma, or critical care needs
• Maintain accurate patient records and anesthesia documentation
• Assist senior consultants in complex cases
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and legal regulations

Preferred candidate profile

• MBBS with MD/DNB in Anesthesiology
• Valid medical registration (e.g., National Medical Commission or relevant authority)
• 03 years of experience post qualification (freshers with strong training may apply)
