Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Review and analyze patient medical records, charts, and clinical documentation
• Assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes using
• ICD-10
• CPT
• HCPCS
• Ensure coding complies with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) guidelines and insurance standards
• Verify that codes match physician documentation and medical necessity
• Coordinate with doctors for clarification of incomplete or unclear records
• Handle insurance claims submission, resubmission, and denial management
• Identify coding errors and provide feedback to healthcare teams
• Maintain coding accuracy, productivity, and quality benchmarks
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and patient confidentiality
• Support Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) processes and billing operations

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or any Paramedical field
• Certified coder from AAPC (CPC) or AHIMA (CCA/CCS)
• 15 years of experience in medical coding (UAE experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of coding systems:
• ICD-10
• CPT
• HCPCS
• Familiarity with UAE healthcare regulations (DHA / HAAD / MOHAP guidelines)
• Experience in handling insurance claims, denials, and resubmissions
• Good understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills (written & verbal)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare or RCM environment
• Immediate joiners or candidates with valid UAE visa preferred
• UAE AI Medical Coding Certification is mandatory
