Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner Telematics with a strong background in Automotive embedded systems and telematics product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product roadmap and backlog for automotive telematics platforms and features
- Collaborate with system architects and engineering teams to define end-to-end telematics solutions
- Translate business and customer requirements into clear technical requirements and user stories
- Lead requirements related to TCU, V2X, OTA, connectivity, diagnostics, and cloud integration
- Drive system architecture, high-level design, and interface definitions
- Ensure alignment between product vision, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines
- Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (HW, SW, Cloud, QA, Security, UX)
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements
- Support release planning, dependency management, risk assessment, and mitigation
- Act as the primary interface between customers, internal stakeholders, and development teams
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Automotive Telematics development
- Proficiency in C++ and Embedded Software development
- Solid hands-on experience with LINUX-based systems
- Deep knowledge of Telematics Control Unit (TCU) architecture and integration
- Experience with V2X technologies (V2V, V2I, V2N, DSRC, C-V2X)
- Expertise in OTA (Over-the-Air) updates firmware, software, configuration
- Strong understanding of embedded system architecture and design principles
- Experience with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SOME/IP, MQTT, etc.)
Product Owner & Architecture Experience
- Proven experience defining system architecture and high-level designs
- Strong understanding of end-to-end telematics ecosystems (Vehicle, Cloud, Mobile Apps)
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments as a Product Owner or similar role
- Ability to balance technical depth and business priorities
- Experience working with large-scale, distributed development teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers
- Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity (ISO 21434)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for telematics services
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and software lifecycle management
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
