Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Python Selenium Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks for web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Python, and modern QA practices, ensuring high product quality through efficient test automation
.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Python and Selenium
- Create and execute automated test cases for functional, regression, and smoke testing
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks (Page Object Model, Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven)
- Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines
- Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools
- Collaborate with developers, manual QA, and product teams to ensure quality deliverables
- Maintain test data, environments, and automation reports
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and sprint activities
- Improve test coverage and reduce manual testing effort
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Python (3.x)
- Hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver
- Experience with PyTest / unittest / Behave
- Strong understanding of automation frameworks (POM preferred)
- Experience testing web applications across browsers
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
- Experience with API testing (Postman / Rest Assured / Python requests good to have)
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
Tools & Environment
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab CI
- Defect tracking: JIRA / Azure DevOps
- Test management: TestRail / Zephyr (preferred)
- Browser drivers and tools: ChromeDriver, GeckoDriver
- Exposure to Docker is a plus
Testing Knowledge
- Strong understanding of SDLC & STLC
- Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform testing
- Understanding of test automation best practices and coding standards
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and passion for quality
Education
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
