Job Description
Hi ,
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Test Engineer - BI Report to join ourBangalore-based BHI Center of Excellence.
As a BI Test engineer, you will be responsible for validating all required BI reports. You will havea thorough understanding of SAP Hana and data integration and be responsible for validatingbusiness requirements as well as data accuracy in reports. You will support the team inday-to-day SAP Hana Bi report validation for each change and identify the issue in early testingphases, and support improving system performance. As this role involves daily interaction withBI functional & development team and also with the finance department for understanding
requirements, it is essential that you have a good background in finance, and strong verbal andwritten communication skills in English.
What youll be doing:
- Responsible for BI reports Testing, supporting UAT validations.
- Collaboration with finance stakeholders, understand ongoing development and
maintenance of SAP Hana reporting platform to prepare test scenarios and get approval.
- Involve testing for data loading, monitoring and system performance.
- Engage with users to understand their needs and make sure its validated in all the new
requirements. Find the requirements gaps and issues before moving to production.
- Prepare test scenarios based on requirements, aligned with dev team and finance users,
run the testing phases like SIT, Regression and support UAT.
- Training of key users wherever required.
What youll bring:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7+ years of expertise in the IT industry
- 5+ years of full hands-on Reporting testing experience.
- Good to have knowledge in SAP HANA DB
- Strong knowledge of SAP HANA SQL, Stored Procedures and Functions
- Exposure in XSA & DB Security concepts (Roles, Privileges etc)
- Experience with the Testing process is a must.
- Experience in SIT, UAT and Regression testing
- Knowledge of agile development processes (SCRUM or Kanban) and experience withJira a plus
- Experience in Data sphere (Good to have)
- Experience in Snowflake Data modelling , Dbt.(Must have)
- Superior attention to detail and quality required
- Proven ability to adopt new technologies
- Demonstrated interest for researching new technologies and developing business cases to support stakeholders across the organization
- Ability to have a good grasp of the details and manage multiple priorities. Able to work in a quick turnaround environment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
