Role & responsibilities
Role Summary
The Lead Architect will work directly with the Customers onsite engineering, application, and integration teams to drive endtoend solution architecture, design, and delivery using Oracle Service Bus (OSB) and Oracle SOA Suite. This role involves guiding integration best practices, reviewing designs, supporting development teams, and ensuring highquality, scalable, and secure integration solutions aligned with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, and development of integrations using OSB 12c and SOA Suite 12c (BPEL, Mediator, Adapters).
- Work closely with customer stakeholders to translate requirements into integration solutions.
- Define integration patterns, service contracts, error handling, transformation logic, and security (OWSM, certificates, policies).
- Review and guide development team deliverables, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
- Support performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of OSB/SOA composites and WebLogic platform.
- Collaborate with customers infrastructure, DB, and application teams for deployment, configuration, and environment readiness.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to customer team members.
- Prepare design documentation, interface specifications, and deployment guidelines.
Required Skills
- 10+ years in enterprise integration; 7+ years handson with Oracle Service Bus (11g/12c) and Oracle SOA Suite (12c).
- Strong handson experience with Oracle Service Bus, SOA Suite, WebLogic Server, XSLT/XQuery, XML/XSD/WSDL, JMS/JDBC/FTP/DB adapters.
- Expertise in designing and building scalable, secure, reusable integration services.
- Solid understanding of integration patterns (sync/async, orchestration, routing, service virtualization).
- Good knowledge of WebLogic domain configuration, connection pools, threading, and performance tuning.
- Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills for OSB/SOA runtime issues.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with customer business and technical teams onsite.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of CI/CD for SOA/OSB (WLST, Maven, Jenkins/Azure DevOps).
- Experience in Oracle API Gateway or Oracle cloud integration patterns.
- Exposure to enterprise security and API governance
