Job Description
About the Role:
We at Cognizant are looking for passionate Base24 EPS Developers who will own end-to-end development, enhancement, and support of core payment switching solutions for global banking and fintech clients.
The role is aligned to our Industry Solutions Group where you will directly impact systems that process millions of secure transactions every day across ATMs, POS, and digital channels.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance Base24 EPS product modules, source codes and components (Interfaces, ATM, POS, Prefix, Routing)
- Build and optimize high-performance interfaces and message routing logic
- Write clean, efficient code in C++ on Linux/Unix platforms
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and batch processing
- Collaborate with architects and testing teams to deliver zero-downtime releases
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive performance improvements
Core Competencies:
- Experience in Base24-eps installation, configuration, and customizations as per the business requirements.
- Expertise in Base24-eps integration experience with other Payment products like ACI UPF.
- Ability to drive & lead development effort with the team, prepare test plan, perform unit testing and QA testing support, implementation and warranty support.
- Should possess strong knowledge on various payment transactions like authorization, advice, e-comm, mail order, pre-auth etc.
- Should be able to validate business Cases, perform requirement analysis, scoping and project estimation.
