ETL tester with DataStage @ CGI

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans for ETL processes using Datastage.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements and ensure data integrity.
  
• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to troubleshoot issues related to data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  
• Conduct thorough analysis of ETL logs, error messages, and system performance to resolve defects.
  
• Provide technical guidance on best practices for database design, query optimization, and reporting.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 6-10 years of experience in ETL testing with expertise in Datastage.
  
• Strong understanding of SQL concepts including joins, subqueries, aggregations, etc.
  
• Experience working with various databases such as Oracle or Teradata is required.
  
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret complex technical documentation.
