Junior Consultant - Paediatrics & Neonatology @ Rhea Healthcare

NICU

• Assessing and monitoring all babies admitted to NICU
• Attending daily rounds and documenting the notes
• Following the orders as per the consultant
• Advice and interpret investigations
• Admission and Discharge summaries to be prepared
• Clear Documentation Communication
• To perform procedures in NICU under supervision of the consultant
• To participate in the retrieval of outborn babies in the ambulance
• Perform Procedures if any including IV Cannulation, NG tube insertion, central line insertions, ventilations etc.

Attending Deliveries

• To attend all in house deliveries under supervision of rostered consultant
• To Monitor all babies for brief supervision and observation
• Complete all documentations

Post-Natal Ward

• Review all the admitted neonates and pediatric patients and follow the treatment plan as advised by the consultant
• Baby examination and documentation
• Administration of Vaccines
• Newborn screening participation and for supervision
• Discharge summary documentation and getting approved by the consultants

Emergency room

• Assess all the neonates and pediatric patients received in the emergency apprise and consultant and advise treatments plans.

Out of Hours

• In addition, expected to attend all out-patient calls as well as emergencies
• Discuss treatment plan with consultant on call and follow.

Inpatient Paediatric Admission

• Examination, Checking, Prescription and Management of Paediatric Inpatient admissions after discussion with Incharge Consultant
• Documentation of daily progress and discharge
• Perform Procedures if any including IV Cannulation, NG tube insertion, etc.
