The Nurse - OPD at Manipal Hospitals will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the outpatient department. Key responsibilities include conducting initial patient assessments, assisting in patient evaluations, administering medications as prescribed, coordinating patient follow-up appointments, and providing patient and family education regarding health conditions and treatment plans. The nurse will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and maintain accurate patient records. Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures is also a critical component of the role. Skills and Tools Required:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Valid nursing license from a recognized authority
- Strong patient assessment and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of medication administration and patient care protocols
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
